Old Hut Vineyard Shiraz
Wine
Tyrrell's Old Hut Vineyard Shiraz is from a single Hunter Valley site, Old Hut. The vines were planted in 2003 with cuttings from Tyrrell's ancient 4 Acres Shiraz grown right next door.
The fruit is harvested in the early hours of the morning when the grapes are at their coolest. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by maturation in 500 litre French oak puncheons. There is no new oak influence.
Deep purple, Tyrrell's Old Hut Vineyard Shiraz is medium bodied yet boldly structured with rich fruit flavours, fine tannins and soft acidity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
